What are item sets?

Item sets allow you to group multiple items into a single new item – a set or bundle. When you create an item set you define which items make up the new product and in what quantities. The system automatically:

  • Reduces the stock of the input (component) items.
  • Increases the stock of the new item – the set.
  • Calculates the set's purchase price based on component prices.

Item sets are used for manufacturing finished products, packaging gift bundles, bundle offers and similar purposes.

Creating a new item set

To create a new item set go to Warehouse → Item Sets → New Item Set. The procedure:

  • The system automatically assigns a document number in the format SET-XXXXXX.
  • In the upper section you define the new item (set) – name, reference and quantity.
  • In the lower section you add items that make up the set – components with quantities.
  • Click Save to confirm. The system will automatically update stock levels.

Viewing and managing item sets

On the Item Set List page you can view all created item sets. Available functions:

  • View – detailed display of the set and its components.
  • Edit – modify components while the item set is in "Created" status.
  • PDF export – generate a PDF document of the item set.
  • Excel export – download the item set list in XLS format.

Assembly plan

In addition to standard item sets the system also supports assembly plans. Plans allow you to prepare an item set without immediate stock posting. This is useful when you want to plan production in advance and execute it later.

You can view plans on the Assembly Plan List page.

Reversing an item set

If you need to cancel a created item set use the Reverse option. Reversing:

  • Returns component item quantities to stock (increases stock).
  • Reduces the set quantity in stock.
  • Creates a reversal document with negative quantities as evidence.

Only item sets in "Created" status can be reversed. Already reversed item sets cannot be reversed again.

You can also create an item set directly from a sales document using the "Create set from POS" option, which automatically takes items from the invoice as set components.
