In short

  • For shops that sell by the kilogram, metre or litre and for items whose unit price has more than two decimals, e.g. a screw at 0.195 EUR.
  • Quantities can have 3 or 4 decimals, e.g. 1.255 kg.
  • The unit price (purchase, without VAT and with VAT) can have 3 to 6 decimals on the item, invoice, quote, goods receipt and price change, and the same unit price goes into the e-invoice.
  • Line amount, VAT, margin, discount and total are always at two decimals. Only the unit price may have more decimals; amounts are rounded to the cent (Croatian Euro Introduction Act, Articles 14 and 15).

Example

A customer takes 7 pieces at 0.195 EUR. The invoice shows the unit price 0.195, and the line amount is 7 × 0.195 = 1.365, rounded to 1.37 EUR. Without the module the unit price would be rounded to 0.20 and the amount would be 1.40 EUR.

Turning it on

The module is part of the Standard plan and higher. Kigo support does the first step: send a request to [email protected] and we will enable the module for your company.

Then an administrator opens Options → System settings → Display settings. At the bottom of the screen is the section Quantity decimal places:

  • Quantities: 2, 3 or 4 decimals.
  • Unit prices: 2 to 6 decimals.

Click Save decimals. The first save with 3 or more decimals widens the fields in the database once and for good, so the program asks for confirmation first. Afterwards the number of decimals can be increased, but not lowered below the chosen one.

On the same screen you also choose the number format, rounding and currency symbol; these work without the module too.

Where you see it

  • Items and services: prices and quantities with the chosen number of decimals.
  • POS, invoices and quotes: quantity and unit price on the line; line amount and total at two decimals.
  • Goods receipt: purchase and cost price per unit and quantities.
  • Price change: old and new unit price.
  • E-invoice: unit price with the same number of decimals as on the invoice; amounts and VAT at two decimals.
